Tempo Gas Walker

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

When the snow finally melts and the sun and heat returns, the first thing many avid boaters will do is get their watercraft out of storage and head for the lake. However the cost of fueling a speedboat, pontoon, or jet ski while out on the water can get overwhelming. On top of the expense some lakes or rivers may not even provide fueling stations, depending on the location. Having the Tempo Gas Walker can solve both problems by allowing you to take the cheaper gas with you the next time you head to your favorite body of water.

The Tempo Gas Walker is a DOT approved gravity fed fuel pump that dispenses 3.5 gallons per minute. The attached, recessed wheels move easily over many terrains without damaging the axle so you can pull it from your car all the way to the dock with ease. A strong, easy to grip handle is built right to make transporting the gas walker simple and stable. The cross-linked polyethylene construction also makes the walker very durable for little risk of damage.

The valve on the Tempo Gas Walker is similar in design to those used on regular gas pumps. The 10 foot length of hose that the valve is attached to provides plenty of distance so you can fill your boat’s gas tank all the way from the dock. It also has a bronze ball valve that helps prevent leaks during transport and a brass shutoff valve to help safely control the flow of fuel.

When you’re ready to start planning your next day or weekend on the water make sure you fill your boat’s fuel tank as well as being prepared with backup fuel in your new gas walker. You will be able to more than double your fuel capacity, depending on the size or your boat’s gas tank of course, because this portable fuel tank will hold 29 gallons of gasoline for later use.

Preparing Your Boat For A Hurricane

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Every marina has different rules for what must be done by boat owners in the face of an approaching hurricane. In the wake of Katrina and Wilma, states are beginning to pass laws requiring boat owners to prepare their boats in certain ways. In light of all this information, some of it conflicting, what are the most important things a boat owner must know to protect themselves and their boat during a hurricane? There are two basic rules that most experts agree offer the most important advice. First, plan ahead for what you will do when a hurricane approaches. That means checking your contract with your marina to see what they require and checking with your state for any additional regulations. You should also check with your boat insurance company to see if they have regulations that may affect your coverage. Conduct a dry run during the off-season to be sure you fully understand how much time is necessary to move or prepare your boat.

Second, under no circumstances is it safe to attempt to ride out a hurricane in your boat. There is a persistent myth that being on a boat in open water is safer than being on land during a hurricane, but the facts do not bear it out. Hurricane winds and tides can carry boats far inland or even sink them. Your boat is not worth risking your life.Moving your boat is always the best way to prevent damage if at all possible. However, this requires arranging for inland storage space well ahead of time. Also, many boat owners are not aware that drawbridges are often locked down before a hurricane to facilitate the evacuation of people from low-lying areas. This increases the importance of moving your boat as soon as a hurricane watch is issued for your area. Some areas have flotilla plans in place in order to move the maximum number of boats in the shortest time. Your local emergency management office will issue flotilla information in advance of a hurricane. If you are planning on joining a flotilla, be sure that your boat is properly maintained and fueled.

Decide the sort of cheap underwater equipment and snorkle equipment to get

As you are beginning to shop for Discount Divers Gear or Snorkel Gear you want to know what sort of cheap scuba diving gear or snorkling gear you are purchasing. This might appear simple, nevertheless doing this very frequently does not turn out to be the case. As you shop for discount divers gear or snorkel gear, you have several choices to make as you determine the specific discount divers equipment or snorkel equipment product which meets your desires and needs.

Specifically, when you need to search for the best Bargain Scuba Diving Equipment or Snorkling Equipment for your needs, you should determine if you must have a specific type of cheap dive equipment and snorkle gear, such as, wrist dive computers, prescription scuba diving masks, scuba regulators, scuba mesh equipment bags, snorkeling fins, or scuba diving wetsuits. In addition you should determine what colors of dive equipment or snorkel gear you want.

Except in the circumstance when the merchandise is so cheap that the product does not require your time to analyze, you might want to think carefully about the features you must have prior to searching for the sales item. This process could include undertaking some research by talking to acquaintances and consulting articles on the Internet.

As you converse with anybody who has an opinion about Bargain Divers Gear or Snorkling Equipment, be sure that their desires are very much like yours, as you discuss with them about their level of gratification with the merchandise. And, find out if they are sufficiently happy that they would buy the product over again.

A recommended way to evaluate whether you are getting objective evaluations about cheap scuba equipment or snorkel gear is to check a variety of websites and to assure yourself if you know what you need prior to when you purchase the item you want. Using many article sites will help you to avoid the more biased reviews you may come across in just a single website.

Determine how much to spend on scuba watches

With every product there are choices comparing price and features. For example, many scuba dive computers, prescription face masks, scuba regulators, scuba diving mesh bags, swim fin sets, or scuba wetsuits consist of better quality materials, but these types of better grade scuba dive equipment or snorkle equipment items tend to be at the higher end of the price range.

The first thing, you are better off to choose the highest amount you reasonably can afford out of your overall budget. By thoughtfully determining how important the product is in your total ability to pay, you will be able to rapidly focus in on the range of products that you reasonably can afford.

Consider not only the outlay for the specific product itself, but also about any added costs which you might need to pay though the use of the merchandise. Since discount scuba dive gear or snorkling equipment, like, scuba divers computers, perscription scuba masks, scuba diving regulators, scuba mesh equipment bags, swim fin sets, or dive wetsuits that you may get are just a part of the costs of snorkling or scuba diving, then your overall expenses of diving or snorkling trips will be much higher.

Furthermore, even whether you have the budget to get the highest cost merchandise you can get, you should decide if buying the most expensive merchandise is really worth it to you. Many scuba diving accessories and snorkel gear may offer lots of capabilities that could seem interesting, nevertheless you need to decide if those are abilities which you really want. If you purchase something because of expensive capabilities which you do not need, then you are only throwing your hard earned cash into the trash can. A less costly thing would have met your needs just as well.

Conversely, you could pay less than you should and get merchandise that cannot adequately take care of your needs from alternate views. The cheapest product that is heavily discounted might be without the features you especially need or the product may be manufactured poorly and, as a result, won’t last and will have to be bought again too soon. When what it takes to buy the product is so cheap that it seems too good to be true, then perhaps it is.

Also, understand clearly prior to purchase the rules for sending back the diving gear or dry snorkel gear product and whether it comes with a guarantee. While you perhaps will not pay the cheapest cost, doing business with a trust worthy seller providing a reasonable return guarantee is often worth it. Usually only a minority of all merchandise which you purchase need to be refunded, but evaluating your store’s product guarantees prior to when you pay can help you later on, when something breaks.

Where should I look to acquire a better youth scuba diving wetsuit?

Before anything else when shopping, you need access to the widest collection of sales items in the more narrow category of items that you want to find. Broad product access can be ensured, when the particular web page you have found taps into the fullest array of such products on the planet.

Also, it is valuable to you to have a way of searching through the items that you could potentially get to get only those that are exactly what you want to find. To get what you want properly, there should be a screening device that rapidly delivers what you want to find.

Any catalog page should make things easy when shopping. The leading approach to get this done is to browse a page of pictures of merchandise so the shopper can view the alternatives and then decide if something might be interesting. This approach enables you to make a rapid decision with your eyes about a product, before you do further investigation. A superior approach is to be able to evaluate the different products with photos versus having to move from one page of details to another.

This visual method is essentially the old way of shopping and has its advantages. Almost everyone prefers scanning through graphics to find what they want, as long as the catalog has a thorough contents list or indices that are useful. Thus, a website is merely an electronic delivery mechanism similar to the color picture catalogs that were so prevalent in years past. We are happy to tell you that an online catalog can provide you many more alternatives of cheap scuba dive equipment or snorkle equipment products. Visitors are able to look for desirable products at greater discounts. With a pictures web page, costs are lower without printed catalog printing costs.

Online competition to receive your order helps assure that you buy things that cost less. Vendors know that they have to offer excellent products, while they need to provide to you very low prices or you are likely to just purchase from another seller.

If you want to purchase the best scuba belts get them here. This shopping site gives you the fastest, most efficient browsing experience. The Salt Removal Solution for your Boat & Trailer

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Every year $massive amounts of boating equipment is eaten away by salt corrosion. The salt water boating environment with constant salt water spray, salty winds & salt water contact is tough for any equipment to combat. Effective salt removal is essential if you want your gear to last as it was hopefully designed to.

Salt is unique in its ability to cling to surfaces, combine this with its hydroscopic nature and it doesn’t matter how dilligent you are in trying to get rid of it, a percentage is still left behind to continue a salt corrosion problems which will end up erroding what ever gear it has clung to. So total salt removal is essential, otherwise your expensive boat, plus if you love fishing,  your much loved game fishing reels will slowly be eaten away. So what is the solution to salt removal?

The key to efficient salt removal is salt neutralisation; making the salt totally inert and passive and removing the salt crystals that can bind up rigging, winches  and fishing reels. This is best implemented with water soluble salt neutralising solutions, that react with the salt coating the seen and jamming the unseen surfaces, chemically changing it to stop the salt’s corrosive nature.

The most potent  products for doing this is Salt-X SX50 & Buster 50, they are concentrated, water soluble and neutralize salt immediately. SX50 & Buster 50 have the capacity to work their way into cracks and crevices de-naturing the salt hiding there and halting the corrosive ability of the salt residue. An additional advantage is the coating that is left once SX50 & Buster 50 have air dried. This gives the treated equipment enhanced protection and makes salt removal faster next time round.
